FUNimation has announced that the cast for D.Gray-man has been chosen and dubbing is happening as we speak. --October 16, 2008.

Schaweet. Wonder how long until they TELL us who's voicing.

well..............they might do a big old announcement thing like they did for host club.

hey, maybe if we're lucky, the big old announcemet will be at ohayocon! =3 XD that would be pretty sweet.........

(dub's amazing! there have been better, but i still like it. ^_^)

one, i hate reading manga online.

two, i'm saving up money for various things. Yes, manga is one of the those things, but it's not at the top of my list. however, i will make DGM at the top of my manga list, if that makes you happy (it'll make me happy).

three, i got an overload of crap to do! first homework & study, then role playing, then looking over chapters for our FF.net account, now. not only that...i still have videos i wanna edit! but sadly, that's at the bottom of my list because i got other stuff i need to do.

Manga is not my first priority, nor will it be for a looooong time to come, sadly.

((gomen...but i'm a little cranky:

school + homework + projects + speeches + amv urges that can't be fulfilled + never-ending chapter reviewing and/or editting + constant checking of this site + no breakfast, lunch, or dinner = not a very happy love4Sora))

ok so in one of my english classes we do friday reflections where he gives us a topic and we have to write a 350 word essay on a topic that he tells us. well this week he told us to choose out own topics so i just wrote a 500 word paper on d.gray man

here it is

D.Gray-man

D.Gray-man is a popular anime created by the Shounen jump team that was first aired in Japan in October of 2006. The title itself does not have much to do with the series; some animes just have weird titles themselves. The story is set in an alternative end to the 19th century. The plot of the story is that if a loved one dies and a person is grieving for them, they might run into the shows goofy interpretation of the devil, called The Millennium Earl. He claims that he can bring back the loved one if you just call their names out. However, if a person does this, he turns that person into an akuma, which is the Japanese word for demon, and the akuma kills the person grieving and becomes a killing machine for the Millenium Earl. However, there is a secret organization of people that fight against the earl, called the Black Order. In the order, there are people, called exorcist, that use a substance called Innocence to fight the Earl and the akuma. The Innocence can be molded into an Anti-akuma weapon and the weapon uses special abilities to kill akuma and defend against the Earl. The Earl’s mission is to destroy the 109 pieces of Innocence on earth and then destroy the world with the help of the akuma and the Noah Clan. The Noah Clan is a group of super humans who are supposedly the descendants of Noah, the Ark builder from the bible. The Noah have special powers that are on par with the powers of the Innocence.
There is a wide range of characters in the show. The main character is Allen walker; a 15 year old boy who was an orphan as a child but was adopted by a man named Mana Walker. When Mana died, Allen turned him into an akuma because of the Earl but Allen killed the akuma before it could “wear” him. Allen’s Innocence is in his arm and it changes into a large metallic claw; later in the series it becomes a white cape and a Freddy Kruger claw. The other main good characters include Yu Kanda, a snooty 17 year old boy whose Innocence is a katana, Lenalee Lee, a warm hearted girl about Allen’s age whose Innocence is a pair of boots that make her run fast and kick hard, and Lavi, a cheerful 18-year-old boy whose Innocence is in the form of a Hammer that can change in size. There are many other Exorcists in the series but those are the mains ones. Some of the Noah includes Road Kamalot, a demonic girl who can control people’s thoughts, Skin Bolic, an angry man who can control lighting, Jasdero and Devit, a set of twins who can materialize anything if they both think of it. There is also Tyki Mikk, a demonic gentleman who can choose what his body can touch, ; which means he can phase through solid object and walk on air and water.
The show has had a great run of 103 episodes and many supporting fans. The fans, like myself, now lie in wait, to see if the creators will decide to make another season.

*twitch* Shim bought me DGM #11 for my B-Day and won't give it to me UNTIL MY B-DAY!!!!!!!! Granted, it's only two weeks off and I already know what happens in it (my friend bought the Japanese version and I recognized what was slotted in it), but it's still torture...

And, of course, Hoshino Sensei's on hiatus because she's sick. *sob*

be happy sailor, i now got the first nine volumes of d.gray-man. =D

sorry to burst your bubble but their at least up to volume 11 ( i didn't see volume 12 the last time i went to a book store)

yeah.....i know (volume 12 doesn't come out until Feb. 3rd). i'm just happy that i'm two volumes away from being completely caught up--other than reading chapters online that is.
but i refuse to do that...i don't like reading manga online.
