Jump 'n Jive

"Are you two going already?" Saya was a little disappointed. Sure, there were others in the night club now, but none that she'd really want to talk to. She could already tell the guys around her age were just going to hit on her, and it was nice talking to Kantarou.

"You know, you remind me of someone," Saya commented, poking Haruka's cheek. "You act just like my good friend Train. Don't do that outside, or the crows'll peck your head." She grinned. That had happened to Train once, just as she'd predicted.

Saya giggled. She was glad someone thought her joke funny.

This time, Saya guffawed rather unlady like. Her sides hurt, she was laughing so hard. "Oh God, he's just like someone I know! Now all he needs is a bottle of milk, and he'd be perfect!"

Saya laughed even harder at Kantarou's not understanding. Not that it was funny. Saya was just in the mood to laugh until she couldn't breathe anymore.

Once she had caught her breath again, she looked around the club. "You know, for the supposed hot spot of this city, there don't seem to be a lot of people... I wonder if it's a lull in business or something."

"I guess so... but I heard this place is always busy, and it's not that late." Saya pouted. She wanted lots of people, but there was practically no one there. "Maybe we're just too early."

"Man, he's just like Train," Saya commented. "Well, anyway," she sat down and ordered a milk. "he left while the getting's good. This place is no fun without anyone here."

Saya smiled. "Aw, thank you, Kantarou. I'm enjoying talking to you too."

The Baron wandered into the dance club, a little confused. He'd heard from Toto that there was a fun place in the city that didn't care weather its customers were human or otherwise, and so he'd decided to stop by to check it out. What he ended up finding was a practically empty place with only three people, counting the barkeep.

He climbed up onto a bar stool near the two and asked, "Excuse me, but where is everyone? I heard from a friend that this place is usually packed."

"I am Baron Humbert von Gickingon," Baron said, taking off his hat and bowing politely," but you can just call me Baron. That's what most call me, anyway." He ordered a cup of tea with milk and recieved a strange look from the barkeep, thogh he really didn't notice.

"A baron! Impressive!" Saya said with a low whistle. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Baron. I'm Saya, and this is my friend Kantarou."

She then smiled at Kantarou and said, "Work's great and all, but you always need time for fun, ya know?"

"I know exactly how you feel," Saya said with a grin. "I'm a sweeper, so if I don't catch bad guys, I don't get paid, and my apartment is expensive. And bullets aren't cheap, either," she added. "Maybe you should look into the sweeper biz, Kantarou-kun. You can make some good money if you catch the big baddies."

"I'm intrigued," Baron said, holding his chin. "What exactly does a sweeper do?"

"It's a nice name for a bounty hunter," Saya replied. "We catch bad guys for the bounties. Simple as that."

Baron nodded and sipped his tea. "Interesting, though I could never do such a thing. I'm happy with my bureau."

"I guess sweeper work isn't for everyone," Saya acknowledged, "though I love it, taking those bad guys off the street."

She then turned to the Baron. "Yeah, what does your bureau do?"

"We help with problems," the Baron explained. "If you have a problem that can't be solved, my bureau does it's best to help. In fact, we just helped a girl who was kidnapped to the Cat Kingdom the other day."
