Rules for the Fan-fic section (read before you post/read)
ok here's the deal...
I was given permision by the almighty sora to make the rules for this section and to explain what this section is to be used for.
First off, for those who don't know, a fan-fiction (aka a fan-fic) is an alternate story based off of an anime, manga, book, tv show or game that's writen in paragraph format. So basically a fan-fic is an rp that is controlled by one person. Fan-fics are made for fun and for the ammusement of others. it's basically something to do when you have a lot of free time on your hands
This section is used to post fan-fics and, for the really creative thinkers/writers, original stories
Now here are the rules for the writers and readers...

Now here are the rules for the writers and readers...
1. the fan fics are to be writen like a novel and no other way.
2. if you wish post a summery of your fan-fic/story at the beginning of your topic but theres no need for anything else at the beginning
3. do not make a nonsence fan-fic/stroy. your fan-fic/story should have a plot to it.
4. keep the stories PG-13, lay low on the swearing, keep blood and gore to a minimum and no sex sences [that means heterosexual and homosextual scenes]
5. readers are not to post in the story to move it along; these are stories not roleplays
6. you may post small commentary every once in awhile but not every other post
7. no flamming (that means no posting how bad you think the idea is on the topic or in a pm to them)
8. you may act like a critic and give advice to maybe make something better but if you're gonna post something thats more than three lines long then PM them you're advice
so that we know that you've read this whole thing, on you're first post here, post a
have at it and have fun writers and readers alike

Good idea. Probably not gonna post anything here (I have FF.net, after all), but still a good idea.
Re: Rules for the Fan-fic section (read before you post/read)
i might. i got a cool idea for +anima, but didn't really want it in RP form.....i might post it here.
Re: Rules for the Fan-fic section (read before you post/read)

<----I'm going to be different with mah arrow. .o. What about one shot fanfics? Are those allowed?
Re: Rules for the Fan-fic section (read before you post/read)

Re: Rules for the Fan-fic section (read before you post/read)
no what you did was fine
thats acctually a space saver so thats cool
its just i wouldn't want you posting them in all one topic if they were each 50 pages or more long

Re: Rules for the Fan-fic section (read before you post/read)
Oh god no. XD Then I would do one a topic. I just thought it would be simpler than making three new topics for pieces that are so short, and/or old....ish. XD
Re: Rules for the Fan-fic section (read before you post/read)
no no you were fine
i just wonder if doing this will acctually help my book along

Believe me, it does. At least, it's like....
Well, let's put it this way. What you're doing is putting ideas into a first draft type. And by having others read them, then you recieve input for character design, characterization, plot, and subplots.
I know when I rp with friends our stories, we find new ideas and they've slowly changed for the better over the years.
This probably helped us alot though:

Re: Rules for the Fan-fic section (read before you post/read)
my main character of my current book scored a 87
Re: Rules for the Fan-fic section (read before you post/read)
So? That just means you have some work to do, besides, remember, characters, like people, grow over time. My one character had a -3. o.o Not really a good thing either.
oh, and note, wings and the name question add about 10 points each.
Actually, name adds 20, look. http://www.onlyfiction.net/marysue.html

Re: Rules for the Fan-fic section (read before you post/read)
well there's not much to the guys name. all of the main characters are named after exaples of greek mythology of themselves. like the main characters "ventures through hell" so to speak so i named him Orpheus.
and he only has wings on his back for like a minute in the final fight scene.
that test doesn't work well with orpheous, theres all these complex things to him and that test hardly covered any of those topics
*sits in corner drawing circles with finger*

Re: Rules for the Fan-fic section (read before you post/read)
xDD That's why you take a look at the ones that subtract the points. Maybe you could add some of those? Because even a slight sue is better than a major sue. I have one. I am in the process of changing her with my friend's help. She wants me to have them published, since she has one that is a direct companion with it. And the Greek names only add a point, it's not that bad.
Just gotta work at fist! *shakes it*

Re: Rules for the Fan-fic section (read before you post/read)
