Magic Users Guild

Plot:
In a world similar to ours, there are mages. These mages work in guilds and accept jobs for money, whether it be fighting in a war or simply finding a lost cat. The mages are willing to do anything... for a price. After all, there are different levels and types of magic, and each one can be quite costly...

There is a dark guild called Demon Stone ruled by a mage who'd like to rule the world. There is a reward for the mage who destroys Demon Stone and its leader. The hero shall get any wish he or she wants granted, and their guild will be recognized as the best. Who shall win this race?

The Guilds:

Heaven Stars
Allies with Fairy Tale and Burning Phoenix
Enemies with Sea Serpants
Won't take jobs that include assassination, theivery, etc. Only will take legal jobs. Avoid "fighter for hire" jobs, but do take on body-guard positions.


Burning Phoenix
Allies with Heaven Stars and Fairy Tale
Enemies with none
Will take any job except for assassination and theivery.


Sea Serpants
Enemies with Fairy Tale and Heaven Stars
They only take jobs that include fighting, assassination, and theivery.


Fairy Tale
Allies with Heaven Stars
Enemies with Sea Serpants
Will take any job with decent pay (over 5,000 gold)


Demon Stone
Evil guild that wants to take over the world.
Allies with None
Enemies with Everyone, both mage and non-mage

The guilds listed are the major guilds, but there are many smaller ones. The biggest difference is that th big ones have more resources and more connections, thus more jobs. The smaller guilds don't have as many resources or connections, so less jobs, but the jobs they do get are often easy, low-paying jobs or extremely dangerous, high paying jobs the major guilds wouldn't take.

Rules:
1. There are specific types of magic that can be used. Each distinct type has its own cost.
2. The only types of magic are Summuning, Elemental, and Transformation.
3. You are only able to use ONE type of magic, so choose wisely.
4. NO GOD MODDING!!!!! Ask permission before starting a guild conflict
5. Please make guild jobs appropriate for your guild. i.e. Don't give "Lost Cat" jobs to the Sea Serpents (unless the lost cat is actually a tiger that was kidnapped by the employer's enemy that has huge guns and will kill everyone), or assassination jobs to Heaven Stars.
6. There are magic items that are crafted by "special" mage craftsmen and are sold by merchants. Few have met these craftsmen, and even fewer know what they pay for their magic...
7. Do not make your magic super powerful or try to get around the costs. That's God Modding and no one will like you for it.
8. The money system in this world is gold. 100 gold is about a dollar (so Fairy Tale takes jobs paying at least $50)

Magic Information:
Summoning
Summoning means you summon creatures to do your work for you. To summon, you must get summon gems and make contracts with the creatures to be summoned. The price to summon is a part of your life force every time you summon (the more powerful the summon, the more of your life force that's lost). Those practicing summoning magic often have a clock item that shows how much time they have remaining so they know what's within their power (i.e. 4 years left, 70 years left.) Please keep your life force reasonable.

Elemental
You can control one specific element. The elements are Fire, Water, Earth, and Air. These spells can be performed without items, but there are items that increase your power. The power can also be focused into weapons such as swords, guns, etc. The price of this magic is that your body rots away with every spell you cast (basically, you start turning into a corpse)

Transformation
You can transform your body and only your body. This is physical magic and is affected by your strength and endurance. Unlike the others, not much magical power is necessary. The price is that you lose your memories, and it is not uncommon for those who transform their bodies completely (like those who use animal forms) to forget they ever were human.

Short Bio: Leader and Creator of the Burning Phoenix. He was an intelligent scholar for some time before he started studying the art of magic. He has dealt with Magical decay for at least 10 years now but has researched viable preventions and ways to get around it. His best solution has been the creation of the decay Talismans, which prevents the body from falling apart when wrapped around the area of Decay. He also developed the Spirit Puppeteer runes, which is a talisman written in the users blood that creates strings of spirit energy that attach themselves to the limp parts of the body. the User then controls the strings with their thoughts like one would control the muscle fibers inside of their body. his decay has almost completely taken both of his arms but he uses the Talismans, Spirit Puppeteer Runs and charms to help him continue on with his job.

When he finally discovered that his body deteriated from the stress of his elemental magic, he was able to design a set of prostetic limbs to subsitute for his deteriating arm. He is in the middle of devloping mechaical organs for when they give. Cyrus still searches for a solution of what he's going to do when the deteriation finally reaches his brain.

Short Bio: She is a rather cute and young looking girl and uses this to her advance. Ayaka useally refrains from doing anything until she finds it needed. Her type of magic is summoning and she can summon a spiritual beast in the form of a dragon. The name of her spiritual beast is "Turin", because she thought it deserved a name. Ayaka carries a sword with her to fight alongside Turin in place of letting him do all the work. He is sealed with a seal on her arm. She doesn't care much about her life force but is not planning to die any time soon. Useally shows up late.

Ever since his failed resurection attempt on his parents he ha been a dark and violent person, he has few friends and caries his mentor's hourglass twhich shows him how much of his time he has left.

Short Bio: Mei tends to anger easily, as is her nature. However, occasionally she has a little trouble controlling her powers, so if she get's mad, something is likely to catch on fire. When she was younger, her father was a big man in crime. He was assasinated, and she became bitter. She decided to join the Sea Serpants, hoping that one day she'll get to dispatch the one who killed her father. She loves her job and justifies it by telling herself that the people she kills deserve to die, as is her philosophy. However, she'd do anything to protect her friends, and the more she kills, the less she's sure about how she's living her life.

Short Bio: A short while after she was born, Sayuri's parent's were killed and she went to live with her Grandfather. After searching through all of his things, she eventually found out that he was in the Sea Serpant Guild. So, following in his footsteps, she joined as well. She hopes to become a great summoner like her Grandfather. But, from all of the tragic occurances and her shortened life-span, she has become a bit rough around the edges. She is compassionate for those who have 'sob stories' built around them (like herself), but usually won't let that get in the way of a mission.

Bio: Little is known about his origins, some suspect that he was taken in by Vincent after the slaughter of his family when he was an infant, others say that he's Vincent's son but no one's sure. Having been braught up by Vincent since he can remember, Roni always looked at him like a father. He has remarkable tallent with his element and is sure to succeed Vincent as leader of the Sea Serpent's guild.

The man was a wealthy elemental mage and taught Victoria all the things she needed to know about the earth and the spirits, she grew and learned she became polite and mannered well but still had her animal side of herself she was quiet and very dark and liked to stay in solitude not many people can get to her but if she can sense there true intentions then there is hope for them if they are well to her.

When he trned 12, his father told him to always write everything down in an endless journal he had specially made for him. After beginning his training with transformation magic he oon realized why as he began reading things in his journal that he had absolutely no recolection of. When he was 19, his father had a mishap durring a full-body transformation and forgot he was ever human at all. He has resigned himself to using his magic to help anyone who can find him and is willing to pay for his services. He is usually very cold when he first meets people, but if he can remember them past 3 transformations he writes about them in his journal and calls them his friends.

He only does this job to keep from going broke because of his bad habit of smoking.

Short Bio: Ace was always intrigued by the abnormal, especially when it came to magic. He never had the talent for it but he always liked to tinker with magical artifacts. When he discovered that some of his activities were considered dangerous and illegal, he decided if the law wouldn't allow him to have fun with his toys then he would go beyond the law. Ace became a vender for the black market after he quit the research teams that Aden, Vincent, Luke and Necelack were a part of

Victoria then said "Well ....... I had to save a small child" she knew this girl she admired her in her intelligence she liked to see girls with a good mind since lately all she had seen where wenches with makeup soaked faces. "And you Zephyr ?" she said still no emotion in her face. (I wonder what kind of fanclub lol)

"I was asked to protect a family heirloom from a theif," Zephyr replied. "He was easy to catch with a little magic. It seems the theif was trying to steal as a mission from the Sea Serpants guild." She shook her head in dismay, but her face was still stoic. "I can only wonder how such a weak mage was able to join..."

She shivered. The morning was chilly, making her wish the mage from the night before hadn't turned her cloak into a camp fire. She'd have to buy a new one with her reward, 10,000 gold. There went half of it if she wanted a nice one that would protect her from the elements.

(The crazy ones that think Victoria is hot for being so stoic. ...Bet ya a couple of them support Victoria x Zephyr. )

Victoria saw Zephyr shiver she could not see her cold like this they would have to wait here for a little while so she took her cloak off and set it on her "Here you may use this for the time being." She stood there looking at the trees around them they were bare winter was coming more missions for lost children and other things would come in because of the cold and snow. (Oh no oh god we will be attacked by them)

"But will you not get cold?" Zephyr inquired. "A merchant just arrived. I was thinking about buying a fire proof cloak or a coat or the like." Zephyr preferred cloaks, but if the only warm fire-proof clothes Luke the merchant had was a coat, she'd make due. She just hoped they weren't gaudy as many of the magic coats were.

She felt a few more presences on the wind. A quick glance revealed them to be the fans that often followed Victoria and herself around whenever they were back at the guild headquarters. She whispered to Victoria, "Maybe we should discuss this inside." She knew Victoria would understand what she meant.

(Oh look, there they are. XD)

Zephyr ducked her head slightly as the wind rushed past. She opened one eye, then the other. She hated dust in her eyes. It was never a nice feeling. "So, shall we?" she asked. They had to go recieve there reward for their missions and get the next one, after all.

(Aw crap, we need a guild master to give the reward... Missions we can just get off a board, I guess, but we need someone handin' out the moneys...)

Vincent paused and looked at Mei with a slightly surprised expression. "You know the rules of our guild, failure on any mission less than a class C is punnishable by death. No exceptions!" he sighed, remembering the last moments of that untallented wretch. "You know, at the end he beged for hhis life just like all the others. I think I'll start sparing the ones that dont beg... seeing as they at least have some dignaty..." he paused and stared off into space for a few moments, contemplating to himself. "Oh, before I forget, there's a class B assassination mission in the mountains near Autumn falls, I was wondering if you'ed like to join me on it. It's been such a long time since I've seen any action." he said as he gripped his enchanted staff a little tighter. "However, if you'ed like to take this one solo, that would be fine too. I have some research that I have yet to finish that will greatly help our elemental mages... The choice is yourse, make it fast." he said rather harshly as he tapped his staff on the ground, sending up a flury of blue sparks.
