Kaibara High's School Dance - Page 6 Kyo27

Kyo looked around at the 2,3,4, many pairs of eyes that now stared at him. He could feel two pairs from behind (that belonged to Ayame and Ritsu). He really didn't have a choice now.

It was a great oppertunity...

And if he didn't say anything now, people would think the nuts...

And they probably already know somethings up because his face was all red...

So they would probably guess what had happened anyway...

And if he didn't say anything and they didn't guess what was up, Ayame was bound to announce it to not only them, but the school...

And Akito...

They would figure it out anyway...

And the worst thing that could possible happen if he didn't ask was Yuki asking her...

Which would be terrible...

So he didn't have much of a choice...

"H-hey, Tohru!" Kyo started. "I need to talk to you...over here."

Tohru smiled and said "Ok Kyo" she said smiling excited about the dance she wondered why he wanted her. He looked red and she had heard people talking in the kitchen a moment ago so maybe he needed to tell her something important.

Kyo led Tohru to one of the hallways that wasn't anywhere near where everyone was gathered. Just talking to Tohru was embarassing enough, if he had to do it in front of his entire family...

Unfortunatly, Kyo had no idea how to start a conversation like this. He needed to ask her to the dance, but what was he supposed to say. Finally, he decided to come right out and say it, so he wouldn't chicken out. He turned around to face her. She really did look extremely pretty tonight... 'NO!' Kyo shouted to himself in his head. 'I have to focus'.

"So...um...you know, Tohru, I was-um- kind of wondering if...you would like...to-er- go to the...um...dance? Er...with, um, me, that is..." Kyo felt his face go red, as he has many times within the past few days.

Tohru was a little shocked that Kyo had asked her she never thought he would do something like that ever since that night in the woods..... everything had become different. They had become very close she realized she could not let him wait for an answer she smiled and said "Sure Kyo I would love to" she said wondering what he would say back.

Kyo was shocked by her response. He couldn't believe that she'd actually want to go with him! No that he didn't want to, but she said yes. Not to Yuki, not to Momiji, and not to Hatsuharu. No, it was him, Kyo, the hated cat of the zodiac!

He was shocked to the point that he didn't know what to say. Kyo thought of how he could ask her to the dance, but he had no idea what he would do afterwords. But now that 'afterwords' had come, he didn't know what to do, say, or anything. All he probably did do was turn an impossibly darker red.

"Y-you mean it?" Kyo asked. He put his hand on his head and looked away from her at the wall, trying to seem cool, or at least like he knew what he was doing. "So...um...should we go back to the others now?" He asked with a bit more confidence.

Momiji noticed Tohru and Kyo come back into the room, both seeming a bit flushed. He began to wonder if something important had happened. After a minute of thinking about it, he decided that something important DID happen and he needed to find out what. He assumed that Ritsu and Ayame, who were in the kitchen with Kyo, would know.

With much curiosity, Momiji walked into the kitchen. "Hiya, Ayame! Ritsu!" He called when he walked in. "...do you know what's up with Kyo...and Tohru?"

Yuki smirked at Kyo's red face. It amused him so. But once he asked Tohru into the other room, his smirk was wiped away as his eyes grew larger. 'Wha--what could he want from her...?'

Yuki waited for them to return quietly, but nervously. So many thoughts about what they could possibly be doing and saying. Oh how much he hated this! It was worse than peer pressure and torture combined.

Finally, Tohru and Kyo had returned.

Kyo looked redder than he originally was, and Tohru looked....flattered perhaps?

What could they have possibly done?! The intense pressured curiosity was burning within in. Yuki had to know.

Without looking at the two of them in eye, Yuki asked, "S--so...what did you want from Honda-san, Kyo...?"

"Ah yes!" Ayame cried, dancing over to Momiji. "It is the blossoming of young love!" He twirled, striking a pose as sparkles flew around him and flowers appeared in the background. Flipping his hair, he assumed a more comfortable position and grinned. "I merely suggested that Kyo ask her to the dance, and he decided to take my advice." He got a far away look in his eyes, the sparkles coming back. "She must have said yes!"

Kyo knew Yuki was bright and that he would figure it all out, but if the rest of the family didn't know yet, why announce it before Ayame? He would be 'so very dissappointed' if everyone knew already. But the thought of going to the dance with Tohru and the small conversation they had made him, yet again blush even more. 'If I don't die by Akito's hands soon, I'm deffinatly going to die from too much blood in my head...' He thought. (This is probably a true statement at this rate...)

"W-why do you care?" Kyo wanted to add 'stupid rat' to the end of that sentence, but for whatever reason, he decided not to.

Momiji didn't exactly understand what Ayame meant when he said 'blossoming of young love'.Well, he did, but still didn't. Unfortunatly, Momiji didn't feel like listening to the end of Ayame's explanation when he said 'she must've said yes'. So, the only real assumption that he could start to make was that Kyo had kissed Tohru. They weren't gone long enough for them to have hugged, since Kyo would've turned into a cat and back.

"Wait...so your saying KYO AND TOHRU KISSED?!?!?!" Momiji exclaimed loud enough to be heard into the next room.

Yuki lifted his cut of tea and began to drink from it.

"...KYO AND TOHRU KISSED?!?!?!"

The tea spat out of Yuki mouth, eyes wide. He set the cup down quickly and slammed his hands against the table as he stood up, eyeing Kyo with eyes of hatred. "What the hell were you thinking, you stupid cat?!"

Yuki was beyond pissed now. In his mind, he thought, 'How dare that stupid lay his filthy hands on Honda-san... He will surely pay for this.'

Kyo heard Momiji's 'statement'. Apparently, so did Yuki.

"MOMIJI! THAT NEVER HAPPENED! SHUT THE HELL UP!!!" He screameed. Now for Yuki. "That never happened, you damn rat. What are you thinking, listening to what that bunny has to say?! You'd have a better chance at getting the truth by talking to you damn brother!"

Kyo was standing up and leaning across the table at this point.

This is how the Sohma family starts their school dances. Very normal.

As he finished speaking, he placed his hand on his chin. "But I'll save my gratitude for later. After all, we should be going to the dance now, yes?"

"Yeah, let's just go." Kyo said. He had the strangest feeling that if he sad stayed there any longer, something crazy would happen and he would really die of blood rushing to his head.

Kyo ignored that fact that Ayame took his yelling at Yuki in the wrong way.

alright, we'll meet everyone at the dance now. if you think someone should pop in suddenly, just post as them and i'll make you that character.

Yuki stood up and walked towards the door. He held it open, and signalled for everyone to leave. As soon as everyone was out (including Ritsu), Yuki locked the house and they were all off.

It took them about 20 minutes to walk to the school. Once they reached the school though, everyone stood in the large line, waiting to enter. Yuki sighed, then turned to his elders, confused. "What are you four waiting in line for? You're all chaperoning this school dance."

Hatori looked down at Yuki, and then the line. Yuki was right. There were only students in this line. "You seem to be right, Yuki. Now come along, you three. We better get inside and see what we're supposed to do."

In all honestly, Hatori didn't have the slightest idea. But none the less, he led Shigure, Ayame, and Ritsu into the school.

One of the first year teachers came up to the three unknown chaperones. He examined them, desiding what each would be good at. He aimed his attention to the one with longish black hair and orange hair first. "Hmm....you two can greet students as they walk in." Then he aimed his attention at the long, white haired and short black haired guys. "Now you two would do good in the main gym. Now all of you go."

Ayame walked around gracefully, 'supervising' all the children that were dancing around. In reality he was really just looking for Yuki. It seemed that he had mistakingly left him there! Almost as if he had wanted to leave him. But Ayame knew that this was just not true. In a happier mood now, he began prancing around the room, sparkles and highschoolers stares following him.

Kyo walked into the school with Tohru and the others. Weather Ayame, Hatori, Shigure, or Ritsu were realizing it, Kyo was trying to avoid them...along with the rest of the girls in the school.

there. sorry, a bit of god modding (i think) but now we're finally in the school!

As they all walked in the girls of the school were shocked by the fact that Kyo and Yuki came but, they where also amazed by Ayame's beauty. Tohru smiled as she stood next to Kyo she looked up at him hoping they would have a good time. (Ayame is now bringing Smexy back lol sorry it just came out)
